NW GA native exploring relocation to Tri-Cities (Kingsport)

Hello,
I’m a native of Northwest Georgia, currently planning a move toward the Tri-Cities area, having lived in Spokane, WA the past 11 years. I am reaching out to the local community board just to touch base and get a ground-level feel for the region.
Since research has been conducted from a distance, I am mostly interested in general neighborhood perspectives—quiet areas, local atmosphere, or just general tips on settling into East Tennessee from someone who knows both regions.
To be specific, I am from Rome, a city that heavily mirrors Kingsport, including it's own "Broad Street"
Not looking for commercial offers or anything complex—just friendly local insight and perspective as I map out my next step, hopefully in a much warmer place.
