white dots are just sunlight shining uthrough blinds. Perfect for TV throw blankets, etc. Bracket to hold lid up damaged, but still closes fine. Bottom is slightly damaged from my young son sitting in it, but cloth liner bottom intact. (see photos) but still holds lightweight items like pillows, blankets etc. no problem.
