2003 Acura MDX - $4,000

Selling because the transmission pump recently went out and the transmission will need to be replaced. I don’t want to put additional money into the vehicle since we have another vehicle available, so I’m selling it as-is. This would be a great option for someone who can do the transmission work themselves, has access to affordable repairs, or is looking for a solid project vehicle.
A good amount of maintenance/work has already been completed:
• Only 146,000 miles
• Steering rack & pinion was recently replaced and has a warranty for approximately another 75,000 miles
• Timing belt is still fairly new and has approximately 40,000 miles remaining before the next recommended replacement
• Interior/seats are in very good condition with no tears
• Third-row seating – the third row has remained folded down and has never been used during our ownership, so those seats are in essentially new condition
• 7-passenger SUV
• Spacious cargo area with the third row folded down
Prior to the transmission issue, the vehicle was being driven regularly. The current known issue is the transmission pump/transmission. Buyer should plan to tow the vehicle unless arrangements are made otherwise.
I’m being upfront about the mechanical issue, which is why I’m selling it as-is. There has already been significant maintenance invested into the MDX, including the recent steering rack & pinion replacement.
For its age, the mileage is relatively low at 146k, and the interior has been very well kept. This could be a great SUV for someone who can take care of the transmission repair.
