Sun Integrated Systems is hiring experienced Low Voltage Technicians who live anywhere between Milwaukee and Chicago (Milwaukee, Racine, Kenosha, Waukegan, North Shore, Chicago, etc.). This is a 1099 contract role at $40/hour, paid weekly, with steady 30-40 hours per week. Jobs are spread across the corridor, so you'll travel between sites - travel is reimbursed.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot Cat5e/Cat6 and fiber cabling
- Mount and connect network gear, racks, patch panels, and wireless access points
- Install and service security cameras and access control
- Work on-site at retail, commercial, and enterprise locations
- Send photos and a closeout email for every job before leaving site
REQUIREMENTS:
- Live in the Milwaukee-Chicago area
- Hands-on low voltage / structured cabling experience
- Laptop with an Ethernet port (or a working USB-to-Ethernet adapter)
- Your own hand tools, tester, and a ladder (6 ft minimum)
- Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license
- Willing to travel to job sites between Milwaukee and Chicago
- Clear communication, on time, and professional with clients
