This fan is ideal for windows that open from bottom to top. The width can be adjusted to fit side to side and it stays in place just with the weight of the window closed on it. To secure the window, a rod that holds the window down works quite simply.

What makes it so great is that you can choose precisely what you want to do:

Direction: in, out, or exchange (one out, one in)

Speed: high, medium, or low

Temperature control: Set a temperature and the fan will only blow when that temperature is exceeded

I used this to exhaust hot air from my house at the end of the day when the outside temperature drops. But having moved, my windows of my new home open side to side and I also have a heat pump now.
