At SMI Property Management, we're dedicated to strengthening our talented team to deliver exceptional service to both property owners and tenants. We are seeking motivated, reliable individuals for full-time Maintenance Technician positions.
OVERVIEW: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure our properties are safe, clean, and well-maintained. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform a variety of general maintenance repairs.
Diagnose and repair electrical fixtures (light fixtures, outlets, switches, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors).
Complete minor plumbing repairs and installations (sinks, toilets, garbage disposals, leaks).
Perform drywall repairs, patching, and painting.
Repair fences and decks; install vinyl and laminate flooring.
Repair and replace interior and exterior doors (pre-hung doors and slabs).
Maintain cleanliness of property grounds, including trash and debris removal.
Communicate effectively with residents, team members, and management.
Report any unusual or urgent property issues to the Community Manager, Portfolio Manager, or supervisor.
Maintain company tools and equipment in good working condition.
Follow all safety protocols, attend safety meetings, and comply with OSHA standards.
Operate vehicles safely in accordance with company policies and maintain an acceptable driving record.
Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times.
Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
Previous maintenance experience preferred.
Must provide own tools.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Ability to follow directions and learn quickly.
Strong work ethic with attention to detail.
Positive, team-oriented attitude with the ability to work independently.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
SCHEDULE, COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Pay: From $27.00 per hour
Schedule: Full-time | Monday – Friday
Location: As assigned, throughout the Mid-Willamette Valley.
