I have three of only Heritage breed roosters for sale. They were hatched this spring and are ready to be introduced to your hens. The Chantecler's are an extremely winter hardy breed. They forage all winter the only thing that slows them down is heavy snow I make sure to keep an area clear. The hens get up to seven or eight lbs roosters up to 10 lb+ they are amazing meat birds. I never heat my coops and my hens lay steady all winter.
