Selling my Adirondack Canoe Company Haystack solo canoe. I've owned it for about four years and it has been used, so it has the normal scratches, scrapes and cosmetic wear you'd expect from a lightweight canoe that's actually been enjoyed. Overall, I'd describe it as in good used condition.
I also want to disclose one area of damage so there are no surprises. While I was cleaning the canoe, it slipped from a pair of sawhorses and landed on its bow. The impact left two visible crease/stress marks in the composite hull, which can be seen from both the inside and outside. I've included close-up photos of these areas.
I have paddled the canoe numerous times since this happened and have experienced no leaking, flexing, or other problems in use. I have not had the areas professionally evaluated or repaired, so I'm selling it as shown and encourage a prospective buyer to inspect them personally.
The big advantage of this canoe is its weight—only 19 pounds, making it exceptionally easy to carry, load and unload by yourself. It's constructed of carbon fiber and Kevlar with attractive cherry wood gunwales and can be paddled canoe- or kayak-style.
Specifications: Length 10'5"; weight 19 lbs; capacity 325 lbs; carbon fiber/Kevlar construction; natural green; cherry wood gunwales.
Current Haystack models sell for considerably more new.
Asking $950 or reasonable offer. Will consider trade for sit-on-top kayak.
You're welcome to look it over carefully before buying. I'm happy to answer any questions.
