We're hiring a Kitchen Supervisor to run the back of the house at a busy central Kalispell restaurant. This is a hands-on leadership role — you're on the line during service and you own the kitchen's systems the rest of the time. Pay is $24–$26/hr, with real room to move up for the right person.
What you'll do
Lead a small kitchen department and its staff — set the tone, hold the standard.
Get creative with the menu. Bring ideas, develop new dishes, and help build out the full menu from concept to plate.
Schedule kitchen staff and manage labor against volume.
Train new hires and keep the whole team sharp — technique, recipes, plating, safety.
Own food cost and inventory: ordering, receiving, portioning, waste tracking, and monthly counts.
Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and inspection-ready at all times — health code, food safety, HACCP, temperature logs, line checks, equipment upkeep.
Work alongside the F&B Manager to plan and execute events — private parties, catering, banquets, holiday programs.
Step in and cook when the kitchen needs you. This is a working supervisor role, not a desk job.
What we're looking for
Experience in a kitchen leadership role — supervisor, lead line, sous, or similar.
A creative cook with a point of view, not just someone who can follow a recipe.
Calm and organized under a rush; someone the team follows without being told to.
Solid grasp of food cost, labor cost, and how the two connect to the P&L.
Current food handler certification (or ability to obtain).
Flexible availability — nights, weekends, holidays.
What you get
$24–$26/hr to start, with growth potential for someone who delivers.
A role where your menu ideas actually get used.
Small team, direct line to management, real ownership of your department.
To apply: Reply to this post with a short note about your kitchen experience and what you'd bring to the menu. Resumes welcome, but a good reply matters more.
