For a long time, I have felt bullied, ridiculed, falsely accused, harassed, and targeted by people connected to the property where I live.
I have had extremely serious accusations made about me, including accusations of sexual assault/rape. I completely deny those accusations. I have also experienced confrontations and attacks on the property where I live.
I rent from Stein Eagle Management and receive housing assistance through ISK. I have repeatedly raised concerns about what has been happening around me, yet I am now the person being required to move. I strongly dispute that I have done anything that justifies the treatment I have received.
I am tired of feeling like a prisoner inside an apartment that I rent. I should be able to walk through my home, vacuum, clean, do dishes, watch television, and live a normal life without constantly worrying about another complaint, accusation, confrontation, or attack.
I also want people to understand that Michigan law provides protections that may apply to situations like the ones I have been documenting. Which statutes have actually been violated is ultimately something a court, law-enforcement agency, or civil-rights agency would determine based on the evidence.
The Michigan laws I believe should be examined include:
• MCL 600.2911 — Libel and slander. Michigan law expressly addresses defamatory statements that falsely impute the commission of a criminal offense. Making a false accusation that somebody committed rape or another crime can therefore raise serious civil issues.
• MCL 750.81 — Assault and assault and battery. This is relevant to physical attacks or assaults that have occurred on the property.
• MCL 750.411h — Stalking and repeated harassment. Michigan defines stalking as a willful course of repeated or continuing harassment that would cause a reasonable person to feel terrorized, frightened, intimidated, threatened, harassed, or molested and actually causes those feelings.
• MCL 600.5720 — Retaliatory termination of tenancy. Michigan law provides protections in certain circumstances when possession or termination of a tenancy is sought in retaliation for a tenant exercising protected rights.
• MCL 600.2918 — Unlawful interference with a tenant's possessory interest. Michigan law provides remedies when an owner or qualifying agent unlawfully interferes with a tenant's possession of their home.
• MCL 37.1102 — Michigan Persons With Disabilities Civil Rights Act. Michigan recognizes equal opportunity in housing without discrimination because of disability and requires reasonable accommodation unless it would impose an undue hardship.
• MCL 37.1502 — Disability discrimination in housing. This prohibits certain discrimination in the terms, conditions, privileges, facilities, and services connected with housing when based on disability.
• MCL 37.1602 — Disability-rights retaliation and interference. This prohibits retaliation for asserting rights under the Persons With Disabilities Civil Rights Act and prohibits coercion, intimidation, threats, or interference with protected rights.
• MCL 554.601c — Source-of-income protections for tenants. Michigan law now prohibits covered landlords from denying or terminating a tenancy, imposing different conditions, or otherwise discriminating against an otherwise eligible tenant because of a lawful source of income, including qualifying housing vouchers and subsidies.
• MCL 37.2502 — Michigan housing civil-rights protections. This includes protections concerning housing transactions and, under current Michigan law, protections against certain discrimination based upon a tenant's source of income.
• MCL 37.2701 — Civil-rights retaliation. Michigan law also prohibits retaliation, coercion, intimidation, threats, or interference with a person for exercising rights protected by the Elliott-Larsen Civil Rights Act.
I am not saying that posting a statute proves somebody violated it. I am saying that these are the laws I believe deserve to be examined against the evidence, complaints, notices, communications, and incidents I have documented.
I am not posting this because I enjoy airing my personal life or housing problems publicly. I am posting because I believe landlords, property managers, housing programs, and tenants should all be held to the same standards.
If complaints are made, they should be investigated fairly.
If somebody is accused of wrongdoing, evidence should matter.
If somebody reports harassment or violence, those complaints should not simply be ignored.
And if housing assistance exists to give people safe and stable housing, nobody should be made to feel like a prisoner in the home they rent.
I am asking my Facebook friends and followers to pay attention and help make sure these concerns are heard. I will continue documenting what happens and speaking publicly about my own experiences using notices, records, messages, reports, and other evidence that can speak for itself.
This is not about revenge.
This is about accountability, equal treatment, safety, and my right to peacefully live in my own home.

what should make you really mad is that Isk give these people a free place to stay yet I pay 30% of my income there not disabled there criminals exploiting the system. this is one them steal other peoples mail... attached is them stealing mail if there is a better spot to post this please do
