DJ's Construction, Inc. is a locally owned, family-operated general contracting company serving Oahu since 2006. We specialize in custom homes, additions, renovations, and residential remodeling.
We are looking for a hardworking, reliable, and experienced Carpenter Helper to join our team immediately.
This is NOT an entry-level position. We need someone with hands-on carpentry experience who knows how to use tools, follows directions, and can contribute to the job from day one.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
-Minimum 5 years of hands-on carpentry experience.
-Experience assisting with rough framing, finish carpentry, trim work, and general residential construction.
-Proficient with hand and power tools.
-Ability to measure, cut, and prepare materials accurately.
-Ability to follow construction plans and instructions.
-Formal carpentry training preferred.
-Must have a basic set of carpentry tools.
-Must have reliable transportation to job sites in Kailua and Haleiwa.
-Must be punctual, dependable, hardworking, and safety-conscious.
-Ability to work well with others and follow directions from experienced carpenters and supervisors.
-Must be physically capable of performing general construction duties safely.
-Must be available to start immediately or ASAP.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
-Assist experienced carpenters with framing, trim work, and residential construction tasks.
-Measure, cut, and prepare lumber and other building materials.
-Assist with installing doors, windows, siding, decking, and other building components.
-Safely operate hand and power tools.
-Load, unload, and organize construction materials.
-Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
-Follow instructions and assist with daily construction activities.
-Perform general carpentry and construction duties as assigned.
COMPENSATION & EMPLOYMENT
$30.00 per hour.
Full-time employment, Monday–Friday.
Non-union position.
Work on custom homes, additions, and residential renovations.
Established, family-owned construction company.
