PAID DOCUMENTARY INTERVIEW — Joshua Tree / Palm Springs Locals With Unusual True Stories
Were you raised in Joshua Tree, Palm Springs, Yucca Valley, Landers, Twentynine Palms, or the surrounding Southern California desert communities?
We are a documentary/podcast production team looking to interview longtime residents, former residents, and local families with unusual TRUE stories connected to the area.
We are especially interested in people who personally experienced—or have close relatives who experienced—strange, disturbing, unexplained, criminal, secretive, or otherwise remarkable events in the region.
Stories could involve:
1)Unusual communities, communes, spiritual groups, or unconventional religious movements
2)UFO/contactee culture or unexplained sightings
3)Strange events surrounding Joshua Tree, Giant Rock, Landers, or other desert communities
4)Local mysteries or unusual events that received little attention outside the area
5)Crimes, disappearances, scams, or disturbing incidents
6)Growing up around unusual people, organizations, compounds, or movements
7)Family stories connected to documented events in the region
MOST IMPORTANTLY: We are looking for stories that have EVIDENCE.
This could include photographs, home videos, letters, diaries, newspaper articles, police/court records, property records, historical documents, yearbooks, physical artifacts, or other material that helps independently verify important parts of the story.
You do not need to prove a paranormal or unexplained interpretation. We simply need to be able to establish that the people, locations, events, and history behind your story are real.
For example: “My grandfather attended UFO gatherings near Giant Rock in the 1950s, and our family still has his photographs and letters from that period.” That is exactly the type of lead we would want to hear about.
We are particularly interested in older residents and multigenerational families who remember a side of the desert that newer residents may never have experienced.
Selected participants may be invited to a paid recorded interview for a documentary-style production.
