AA Ceilings LLC is looking for an experienced construction professional to join our team in primarily an office-based position.
This could be an excellent opportunity for a semi-retired Project Manager, Construction Manager, Estimator, Superintendent, or experienced construction office professional who wants to continue working in the industry on a part-time basis.
This is NOT a field labor position. The majority of your time will be spent in the office managing and coordinating projects. There will be occasional jobsite visits to take measurements, check job progress, and make sure our crews are staying on track and completing work properly.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Reviewing plans, drawings, and specifications
• Performing construction takeoffs
• Visiting potential projects to take field measurements
• Communicating with General Contractors and Project Managers
• Tracking multiple active construction projects
• Preparing and following up on change orders
• Billing and invoicing
• Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
• Following up on outstanding payments and paperwork
• Reviewing job schedules and coordinating with our field crews
• Visiting jobsites periodically to check progress and workmanship
• Making sure crews are completing assigned areas and staying on schedule
• Keeping project paperwork, contracts, purchase orders, and job files organized
• Communicating with vendors, customers, employees, and General Contractors
We are looking for someone who:
• Has previous experience in the construction industry
• Understands how a construction project runs from estimating through completion
• Is highly organized and able to manage several projects at once
• Is proficient and efficient on a computer
• Has strong written and verbal communication skills
• Is comfortable speaking with General Contractors and Project Managers
• Has excellent follow-through and attention to detail
• Can work independently and take initiative
• Has a professional personality and can build a good rapport with people
• Has a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for occasional jobsite visits
This position will initially be part-time, with the possibility of becoming full-time for the right person.
Compensation will be based on experience.
