I am selling a D & K Highbanker/ Dredge which I refurbished. D & K was a company which competed with Pro-Line and Keene in the 80's. D & K was one of the first company's, as miners themselves, to incorporate systems to catch fine gold while processing materials with a highbanker/dredge. Those familiar with these systems understands how good they are. There are several options on how to operate or run this system. This is a professional grade high banker dredge designed to catch big gold, smaller gold, and super fine gold. You are basically 1 ounce of gold away from it paying for itself!
The dredge system can be converted to any size hose/nozzle based on motor and pump. Now that being said I believe the cut off for this 12" x 42" Sluice system was a 3" hose/nozzle. Above 3" I believe D & K had a larger set up with a bigger hopper and longer sluice. One would just need the cross adapter and size you want. I set it up at 2" to be used as a testing system for a larger operation and to gather flood gold deposits. The spray bar element works excellent for all sorts of material being shoveled in.
I will list the features and options below.
Specs:
Hopper is 12" x 20"
Sluice is 12' WIDE x 42" LONG
Legs max height 24"
Highbanker Spray bars are 1.5" adapter down to 1" spray bars pvc.
Sluice aspect is 2" Nozzle w/ 1/8th blaster to 2" Hose into a 2.5" adapter.
Features:
The hopper base is 3/16th punch plate with fine material dropping to a tray underneath. The tray uses Gold Stop Matting (conveyor belt). Fine material drop to tray mat initially entering hopper (see pictures).
Material then works down hopper screened with the 7/16th grizzly. Material larger than 7/16th works it was out of hopper and out of system.
Material smaller than 7/16th drops into sluice and lands on a 1/4" Jarvine Riffle at head of sluice. The sluice uses Gold Stop matting the entire length covered with miners moss on top of that also the whole length. The 1/4" Jarvine Riffle lays on top of the miners moss which is over the gold stop mat.
Material moves past the 1/4" Jarvine Riffle and moves down into and over D&K Hungarian riffles. This is a standard Hungarian riffle bar which goes to end of sluice. The top part of the Hungarian riffles has expanded metal - ALL OF IT over the gold stop mat and miners moss.
The sluice set at 5*- 6* slope/angle allows for the hopper to be set maximum 30*. The hopper has two predrilled settings to lower angle.
Motor:
This highbanker/dredge can be purchased with or with out the motor/pump in the event you already have your own motor pump. SUBTRACT $400 if you do not want the motor/pump.
The motor that comes with it is a DuroMax XP702HP ( High Pressure). This is almost equivalent to the Keene P90 w/ GX50 Honda motor. The DuroMax pumps 70 GPM the Keene 100 GPM. The DuroMax has 250 ft. head, the Keene 161 ft. head. This high pressure DuroMax motor/pump will run the spray bar high banker flawlessly and will run the 2" dredge system given system is basically level with creek, system, and nozzle. We tested with the P90, this DuroMax, and Keene PHP 160. The DuroMax and P90 effectively ran the same. The PHP 160 easily ran box with ~20 - 30+ ft of lift. So if you have a PHP160 options on hose length wideness etc. skies the limit.
Motor has been run for 6 hours and "broken in". Oil has been changed after and a log of run time maintained. Total run time on motor 8 hours.
HOSES/NOZZLE:
Nozzle H & B 2 inch nozzle with 1/8th blaster. System can be purchased without hoses and nozzle if you wish to run your own motor/pump and larger hoses - SUBTRACT $300
