I’m looking to responsibly rehome my bearded dragon to someone who has experience caring for bearded dragons/reptiles and can provide the specialized care he needs.
He is an adult male and has been a loved pet, but unfortunately he has not been doing well physically. I believe he may have developed metabolic bone disease related to a previous UVB lighting issue. I don’t want to speculate on a diagnosis, but he is showing signs that concern me and I believe he needs an experienced reptile owner and ideally a veterinary evaluation.
I want to be completely upfront about his condition rather than rehome him without disclosing it. He will need someone who understands proper UVB, supplementation, heating, nutrition, and the potential medical needs associated with MBD.
I am looking for:
* Someone experienced with bearded dragons/reptiles
* A home that can provide proper UVB/heating and husbandry
* Someone willing and financially able to have him evaluated by an exotic/reptile veterinarian
* A permanent, responsible home
I am not looking to make money from him. My priority is finding him someone who can give him the care and attention he needs. I would prefer someone knowledgeable rather than simply someone who thinks he would be a cool pet.
I can provide additional information and photos, including an honest description of his current condition, to anyone seriously interested.
Please message me with your experience keeping reptiles and what kind of setup you currently have.
