Body Construction: Unlike standard ES models (which use laminated maple/poplar), the CS-356 is carved out of solid woods—featuring a carved maple top (often a figured/flame cap) and a chambered solid mahogany body, back, centerblock, and sides.
• Neck: One-piece mahogany neck with a fast 1960s slim-taper profile.
• Fingerboard: Bound fingerboard ( ebony) with mother-of-pearl block inlays.
• Pickups: A pair of Gibson '57 Classic humbucking pickups (Alnico II magnets) offering warm, vintage PAF-style tones.
• Hardware: Deluxe gold-plated hardware, including an ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, Kluson tulip-style tuners, and a stopbar tailpiece .
• Aesthetics: Multi-ply body binding and an upgraded Custom Shop-style headstock veneer.
