Field Forge Group - 1099 Independent field installer needed immediately for a large IoT monitoring equipment deployment throughout the Ithaca / Southern Tier / Finger Lakes region.
Approximately 690 locations are available, providing several weeks of work for a productive installer - approximately $9k to $10k in total installer value.
This is regional route work, not a small local neighborhood route. The territory includes Ithaca, Binghamton, Watkins Glen, Bath, Corning, Dansville and surrounding Finger Lakes / Southern Tier communities.
The route is designed to exhaust local clusters before moving outward, but this is still a large geographic territory. Some days will involve significant driving between groups of locations, especially as the closer work is completed and the route expands into more rural sections.
Applicants need to be comfortable driving throughout the day, working independently, and covering a broad assigned territory without needing to return to the same local area every day.
Productive installers should generally expect around 20–25 completed and approved installations per day, depending on route density, driving distance and site conditions.
If we specifically require an overnight stay because of a distant assigned section of the route, lodging will be provided.
FULL AVAILABILITY IS REQUIRED
This is not intended as occasional, evening or weekend-only work.
We are looking for someone who can commit to the deployment full time until the assigned territory is completed. You must have consistent weekday and weekend availability and be able to work full route days.
Hands-on training is provided.
Exact equipment experience is not required. Experience in field service, construction, cable/satellite, low-voltage, telecom, maintenance, HVAC, electrical work or similar hands-on work is helpful.

This is a 1099 independent contractor position. You provide your own vehicle, fuel and normal daily travel expenses.
