About the Role
We are seeking an event Special Effects Operator to assist with Indian weddings, birthday parties, and private celebrations across the DFW metroplex. All equipment and setup are provided, and no prior SFX technical experience is required—full on-the-job training will be provided for the right candidate.
This position is ideal for college students, homemakers, or anyone seeking supplemental weekend income with a flexible schedule.
Responsibilities
Operate event special effects (cold sparks, low-lying fog/dry ice clouds, CO₂ jets, confetti, etc.) according to the event run-of-show.
Assist with the setup, testing, and teardown of effects equipment on-site.
Coordinate timing cues directly with the event host, DJ, or event coordinator.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe operating area during the function.
Requirements
Transportation: Must have your own reliable vehicle to travel to event venues throughout DFW.
Familiarity: General understanding of event/wedding workflows is preferred.
Professionalism: Punctual, dependable, and comfortable working in fast-paced live event environments.
Coachability: Willingness to learn equipment protocols and strictly follow cue/safety instructions.
