BIOPROCESSING / CELL TRANSFER APPLICATIONS
Intellitech collaborated with the University of South Florida to evaluate the i-FILL pumping technology against a leading peristaltic pump for cell viability.
Studies involving NIH-3T3 mouse fibroblast cells and human donor T-cells evaluated cell viability during pumping. Testing included Trypan Blue cell viability experiments, live-cell imaging and, during the second study, PrestoBlue assays.
According to the reported study results, the i-FILL Micro demonstrated suitability for cell-culture conditions during development and production and was identified as a viable alternative to conventional peristaltic pumping for applicable processes.
