this is the first Marantz SACD/CD player made. I purchased it in 2001 and have used it up until 2023 when it no longer would play SACD. Marantz no longer makes the optical light for this unit. I had it repaired from a shop in Chicago. It now plays CD's if the power button can be repaired. it would be good for an electronics buff to work on. It weighs 35 lbs.of solid aluminum.
