This exceptional, Semi-Antique, MASHAD oriental rug features a beautiful, detailed, sophisticated, design, characteristic of the best of the rich, MASHAD style. This rug was hand-knotted in Turkey, in the 1950's, making it a semi-antique. It is of exceptional quality with a weave of over 200 knots per square inch: (200 KPSI). (Good quality orientals start at hand-knots of about 120 per square inch, and this is more than double that which means it is an extremely high quality oriental.) And it was signed by the master weaver which is another sign of outstanding quality in design and weave construction.
We selected this rug to stage one of our beautiful city lakes homes, which is why it is now available. (We take the rugs back after the staged house sells, and sell them for a portion of their cost so we can charge less in the staging fee.
This MASHAD is a hand-knotted rug, made of 100% lambswool, again over 200 knots per square inch, (200 KPSI), considered to be outstanding and very fine weave quality. The size is 11.5x8.5 in length and width. It is in excellent condition with no wear spots and a soft and intact pile. It is a spectacular rug in virtually PERFECT condition, that will enhance your home with its substantial richness. This rug was made using yarn that was colored using vegetable dyes (important because vegetable-dyed colors are richer in appearance: (deeper in subtle colors --- less flat looking), than chemical-dyed woolen yarns, as well as environmentally safer).
We selected this rug for staging, specifically because of its visually impressive design and lack of center medallion which helped with the design of the Great Room in which is was placed.. It will be impressive anywhere you use it, including in a family room/great room, a living room, an office, a media room, a large bedroom, etc. At retail this rug would be priced about $5500, But, here it is JUST $1375. Cash or Venmo work. Email me here, or text my cell phone to view it and purchase it. Thanks.
