As a Teacher Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting our English and Japanese language teachers and ensuring that client teaching requests are handled smoothly and effectively.
The position involves coordinating between clients and teachers, managing schedules and staffing, supporting teacher recruitment and onboarding, and assisting with ALT-related operations. You will communicate with a wide range of people on a daily basis, so strong organizational, communication, and bilingual skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities
General Coordination
Communicate with clients and teachers by phone and email regarding lessons, schedules, staffing, and other requests.
Interview and recruit prospective teachers, including participating in interviews at client locations when required.
Coordinate schedule changes and updates between clients and teachers.
Notify clients of teacher absences and arrange substitute teachers or make-up lessons as necessary.
Provide cover for absent English teachers when no alternative arrangements can be made.
Accompany teachers to new teaching sites on their first day to support a smooth onboarding process.
Manage and check teacher timesheets to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
Assist with client requests and other administrative duties as required.
ALT-Related Responsibilities
Plan and create ALT schedules, particularly during the busy March–April period.
Conduct ALT training sessions during the April and August training periods.
Visit schools to observe lessons and provide constructive feedback and support to ALTs.
Additional Responsibilities
Assist with translation of documents between Japanese and English when required.
Support other operational and administrative tasks as needed.
Language Requirements
This is a bilingual position requiring a strong command of both Japanese and English, including speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
Our clients generally prefer to communicate in Japanese, while our language teachers typically communicate in the language they teach. The primary language used in the office is Japanese, although you will also work alongside other bilingual staff members.

Work Conditions
Location: Shinjuku, Tokyo
Working Hours: 9:00–17:00

Paid annual leave is available after 6 months of employment, starting at 10 days and increasing according to length of service
Salary: ¥271,500 per month
