The DELTA is a phantom-powered ribbon mic designed for high-SPL sources. It is particularly well suited for electric guitar cabinets, but also works beautifully on drums, brass, saxophone, percussion and other instruments where you want a smooth, warm ribbon character.
It has a figure-8 pickup pattern, 20Hz–15kHz frequency response, and active electronics that provide better sensitivity and consistency than many traditional passive ribbon microphones.
The sound is warm, smooth and rounded, with controlled high end and excellent proximity effect. It can produce a particularly impressive guitar-amp sound and takes EQ very well if you want to add additional top end.
