Role Description
The Bid Specialist is a part-time, hybrid role based in Houston, TX, with flexibility for some work from home. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end bid and tender processes, including identifying bid opportunities, reviewing requirements, and coordinating internal inputs. The Bid Specialist prepares and formats proposal documents, ensures compliance with client specifications, and maintains bid schedules and documentation. Day-to-day tasks include drafting and refining proposal content, collaborating with project and finance teams to gather information, and submitting completed bids within deadlines. The Bid Specialist also supports continuous improvement of bidding strategies, maintains records of outcomes, and contributes to building a structured, efficient bidding function.
Qualifications
• Ability to manage Bid Processes and Tender Management activities, including coordination of timelines and requirements.
• Strong Bid Preparation and Proposal Writing skills to develop clear, accurate, and persuasive bid documents.
• Effective Communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to handle multiple bids, deadlines, and documentation simultaneously.
• Proficiency with standard office and document tools (e.g., Word, Excel, PDF editors); familiarity with bid management software is beneficial.
• Analytical and critical thinking abilities to interpret tender specifications, identify risks, and propose solutions.
• Experience in real estate development, construction, or investment-related projects is an advantage.
• Associate degree in Business, Finance, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
