PACK OUT TECHNICIAN - CONTENTS DIVISION
NOW HIRING - EXPERIENCED RESTORATION PROFESSIONALS
We are looking for an experienced Pack Out Technician to join our Contents Division. This position is responsible for safely packing, documenting, transporting, cleaning, storing, and returning customers' personal belongings following fire, water, mold, and other property-loss events.
This is an important position. When a customer experiences a disaster, their belongings may be some of the most valuable and sentimental things they own. We are looking for someone who understands the importance of treating every item with care, respect, and professionalism.
PRIOR DISASTER RESTORATION EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Respond to residential and commercial fire, water, mold, and disaster-loss projects
- Pack and protect household contents, furniture, electronics, clothing, artwork, and other personal property
- Properly label, organize, and document packed contents
- Complete detailed contents inventories
- Photograph contents before, during, and after the pack-out process
- Load and transport contents safely to our warehouse
- Assist with unloading, organizing, and storing contents
- Assist with cleaning, deodorizing, restoration, and preparation of contents for return
- Assist with pack-backs and returning contents to the customer's property
- Work closely with restoration project managers, crews, customers, insurance representatives, and other contractors
- Follow company procedures for documentation, handling, transportation, and storage
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Protect floors, walls, doors, stairs, and other areas of the customer's property
- Properly use PPE and follow job-site safety procedures
- Help identify damaged or potentially non-salvageable contents and report them to management
- Maintain accurate documentation throughout the entire contents process
- Respond professionally and compassionately to customers experiencing a loss
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED:
- Previous experience working for a disaster restoration company
- Experience with contents pack-outs, contents handling, or restoration work
- Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in homes and buildings affected by fire, smoke, water, mold, and other damage
- Ability to work in PPE and physically demanding environments
- Reliable transportation to job sites
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
- Professional appearance and communication skills
- Ability to pass a background check
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
PREFERRED:
- Experience working with insurance-related restoration claims
- Experience using contents inventory or restoration software
- Experience with photo documentation and digital inventories
- Valid driver's license
- Clean driving record
- Experience operating a box truck, or other commercial vehicle
- Experience with contents cleaning, smoke/odor cleaning, or restoration

EMERGENCY AND AFTER-HOURS WORK
Restoration losses can happen at any time. This position may require emergency response, early morning starts, evenings, weekends, and occasional extended hours depending on the needs of the project.
SCHEDULE
Full-time position / Part time
Typical schedules may vary depending on active restoration projects and emergency response requirements.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Must be physically capable of performing the duties of the position
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to stand, bend, kneel, climb stairs, and work for extended periods
- Must be comfortable working around damaged property
- PPE will be provided when required
- Must follow all company safety and job-site procedures
- Must maintain a professional appearance and attitude when representing the company
COMPENSATION
Pay will be based on restoration experience, contents experience, skills, and qualifications.
Experienced candidates are encouraged to provide their desired hourly rate when applying.
