Growing professional moving company looking for experienced Professional Packers to join our team.
We are looking for dependable, detail-oriented individuals who take pride in properly packing and protecting customers' belongings. The ideal candidate understands that professional packing is more than putting items in boxes. It requires skill, organization, attention to detail, and the ability to protect valuable and fragile possessions.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Professionally pack household contents for residential moves
- Carefully pack dishes, glassware, china, artwork, mirrors, pictures, electronics, books, clothing, bedding, and other household items
- Properly wrap and protect furniture, including using moving blankets and protective materials
- Pack fragile and high-value items using appropriate packing techniques
- Label boxes clearly by room and contents
- Maintain an organized inventory to make unpacking easier
- Assist with loading and unloading when needed
- Protect walls, floors, doors, stairways, and other areas of the customer's home
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Communicate professionally with customers while working in their homes
- Follow company procedures for packing, handling, labeling, and protecting customer property
- Work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of quality
- Represent Summit Moving & Storage in a professional manner on every job
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Previous professional packing experience REQUIRED
- Moving company experience strongly preferred
- Experience packing fragile and high-value household items preferred
- Knowledge of proper packing materials and techniques
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Professional appearance and attitude
- Excellent customer service skills
- Dependable and punctual
- Able to work as part of a team
- Able to work independently when required
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and remain physically active throughout the workday
- Must be comfortable working in different homes and environments
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
