With over 40 years of experience across multiple technical fields, my background includes machining, programming, mechanical part design, CAD drafting, architectural design support, prototyping, and 3D printing. This broad experience gives me an understanding of not only how to design a part or structure, but also how drawings relate to fabrication, assembly, and real-world applications.
From the Machine Shop to CAD Design
My technical background began with hands-on work involving machining and programming. Understanding how parts are made, measured, and assembled has helped shape my approach to mechanical design and technical documentation.
Over the years, I expanded into computer-aided design (CAD), creating mechanical components, detailed engineering drawings, assemblies, and design revisions. I also work with 3D modeling and visualization to help communicate design ideas clearly before fabrication begins.
