The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in facilities maintenance, including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. You will be responsible for performing routine inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance while adhering to safety standards and quality protocols.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct regular inspections of building systems, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC components to identify potential issues before they escalate.
• Perform repairs and maintenance tasks utilizing skills in welding, electrical work, and mechanical troubleshooting to ensure continuous facility operations.
• Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to accurately diagnose system problems.
• Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment to test electrical circuits and components for proper functioning.
• Manage facilities maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, schedule preventive tasks, and document repairs.
• Oversee residential painting projects and other cosmetic repairs to maintain the aesthetic quality of the facility.
• Supervise or assist with subcontractors or team members during complex maintenance or renovation projects while ensuring safety compliance.
• Support manufacturing operations by maintaining equipment uptime through proactive maintenance strategies.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal client needs promptly and professionally while maintaining a safe working environment.
Experience:
• Proven experience in facilities maintenance within manufacturing or residential environments.
• Strong electrical experience with knowledge of schematics, wiring systems, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Mechanical knowledge encompassing HVAC systems, plumbing, welding, and general repair skills.
• Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in industrial automation processes.
• Supervising or leadership experience in a maintenance team or project setting is preferred.
• Experience working with CMMS software for work order management and preventive maintenance planning.
• Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and effective collaboration with team members.
• Demonstrated ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively.
