Texas Garden Materials is hiring an experienced, safety-focused CDL Flatbed Driver for customer deliveries throughout the Houston area and material pickups across Texas.
We are looking for a dependable professional who takes care of the truck, secures every load correctly, communicates well, and reports to work on time. This is not an entry-level driving position.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Deliver pallets of sod, stone, soil, mulch, and other landscape materials
• Complete material pickups throughout Texas
• Safely operate a commercial flatbed truck
• Properly secure heavy and palletized loads using straps, chains, and other required equipment
• Inspect every load before leaving the yard or pickup location
• Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Maintain accurate delivery and pickup paperwork
• Communicate with dispatch regarding schedules, delays, and job-site conditions
• Provide professional service to customers and suppliers
• Keep the truck clean and report maintenance concerns immediately
REQUIREMENTS
• Valid Class A or Class B CDL
• Current DOT medical card
• Clean and safe driving record
• Previous flatbed or commercial delivery experience
• Experience securing heavy and palletized loads
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Professional attitude and good communication skills
• Ability to safely climb on and off the truck and handle load-securing equipment
• Available Monday through Saturday
• Willing to complete material pickups throughout Texas
• Must pass a drug screening and background check
