One-of-a-kind, original gallery-exhibited piece titled "Sleeping Beauty" (2008) by collaborating artists J. apRoberts and B. Christopher.
Original exhibition price was $375.
This is an incredibly unique 12" x 12" mixed-media canvas piece with a darkly humorous, surreal pop-art aesthetic. Staged as a vintage faux grocery package label for an "Ogre Family Recipe," the piece features detailed creature hands bound by twine under the title "Queen Sauce." The whimsical yet macabre text panel on the right reads: "I will eat the Queen with the same Sauce I had with her children."
The composition wraps around a custom-built, vibrant blue-painted solid wood stretcher frame and is fully complete with the original gallery exhibition label and tracking on the reverse side.
