My wife and I are looking for a long-term rental home in the Omaha area or within approximately 75 miles, including surrounding Nebraska and Iowa communities.
We are especially interested in a private rental, acreage, farmhouse, or house with some land, although we’re open to any home that is a good fit. We need a basement and a secure fenced yard.
Our budget is up to $1,800 per month, although we would prefer to stay closer to the $1,200–$1,500 range.
The biggest challenge in our search is that we have eight small, well-cared-for Chihuahuas who are part of our family and our babies.. so we need a landlord who is comfortable approving all of them. We understand that eight sounds like a lot and are happy to discuss them individually, pet deposits/fees, references, or other reasonable arrangements with the right landlord.
We are stable, long-term tenants and would love to find somewhere we can settle for years rather than move again in a year or two. A strong-credit family member may also be available as a lease guarantor/co-signer if needed.
