Weld Power Generator is hiring an entry level person to join our field service team. You’ll report to our Andover, NJ office and work alongside experienced technicians at customer sites throughout New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.
No generator experience is necessary. We provide on-the-job training for someone who is dependable, works hard, is comfortable with hand tools, and wants to learn a trade.
**What you’ll do**
* Assist technicians with generator maintenance and repairs, load bank testing, and fuel polishing
* Help prepare equipment and perform work at customer sites
* Learn alongside experienced technicians as the second or third person on a job
* Take on more responsibility as your skills develop, with the potential to work independently
**What we’re looking for**
* Reliable, self-motivated, and willing to learn
* Familiar with hand tools and basic mechanical work
* Able to communicate clearly and use an iPad
* Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
* Able to lift 50 pounds, stand or walk for extended periods, and work on ladders or at heights
* Able to pass a background check
**Pay and schedule**
Starting pay is **$30 per hour for an entry level candidate**, with pay up to **$50 per hour depending on experience**.
The regular schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with a 30-minute lunch. Hours may vary based on customer needs and workload. Our technicians typically work 45–50 hours per week, and overtime is available.
