Engineering - Maintenance III (Full Time) ($39.12/hr)
Primary Responsibilities: Responsible for performing a wide range of preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and operational support duties throughout the property to ensure a safe, functional, and well-maintained environment for guests and team members. This position supports the operation of hotel facilities, guestrooms, building systems, and equipment while delivering exceptional service, maintaining compliance with safety standards, and contributing to the Engineering Department's overall efficiency and success.
Essential Duties:
• Assist First Class and Second Class Engineers with daily operations, preventative maintenance activities, troubleshooting, repairs, and special projects throughout the property.
• Maintain and accurately complete the Guest Room Preventive Maintenance (PM) Program to ensure guestrooms and related assets are operating at established standards.
• Assume responsibility for assigned equipment, systems, and designated areas to ensure proper operation, maintenance, and appearance.
• Participate in hands-on training across multiple trades to develop technical proficiency and prepare for advancement within the Engineering Department.
• Research parts and materials, obtain price quotations, and prepare requisitions to support maintenance and repair activities.
• Monitor and maintain water chemistry and treatment programs for swimming pools, spas, and decorative water features to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair moderately complex equipment and small appliances, including vacuum cleaners, toasters, lamps, and other guest and operational support equipment.
• Assist with the inspection, maintenance, and repair of fire life safety systems, including sprinkler piping, valves, and fire pumps.
• Support the installation, maintenance, and repair of sump pumps and related water management equipment.
• Maintain swimming pools, spas, and associated equipment to ensure safe operation and an exceptional guest experience.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest room and back-of-house maintenance requests, completing repairs accurately and efficiently.
• Perform general maintenance duties involving basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical, painting, wall covering, tile, grout, and sealant work.
• Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and OSHA requirements, including the proper handling, storage, and use of chemicals.
• Perform additional duties, special assignments, and operational support tasks as directed by Engineering leadership to meet business needs and departmental objectives.
