POSITION SUMMARY:
Performs in-home cleaning duties as an important team member as assigned by team supervisor. This is routine limited semiskilled manual work. Must be able to work well with others, dependable, follow instructions, and maintain professional appearance. Position does not supervise other team members.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Performs as team member cleaning up to 6 homes per day.
2. Rotates and performs team member duties as assigned by The Maids Team Supervisor. There are four (4) main areas: Kitchen, Bathroom, Vacuum, and Dusting.
3. Performs all duties in strict accordance with The Maids policies, cleaning system, and procedures.
4. Reports supply needs to Team Supervisor.
5. Responsible to report all irregularities to Team Supervisor including broken items, safety hazards, and any problems that might occur during the day.
6. Assists other team members as needed.
7. Performs all duties in an honest, safe, and secure manner that delivers quality, efficient, and courteous service.
OCCASIONAL DUTIES:
Special Project Work: Assigned by Team Supervisor as required by work assignment: Examples are oven cleaning, window/wall washing, and other specific cleaning assignments. New member training/demonstration also may be assigned.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Physically able to lift and/or carry 5 to 35 pounds (30 to 50 times per day), bend, stoop, climb, reach, stand, sit, kneel, and twist.
2. Must be visually astute/aware to rapidly comprehend what is dirty and/or in need of cleaning.
3. Position requires much flexibility and ease of movement.
4. Position requires manual dexterity and use of both hands.
5. Ability to perform duties free from strenuous work complications such as breathing problems, back problems, muscle strains, or allergic reactions to soaps, detergents, acids, alkaline and/or dust.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
Hours: Monday - Friday: Start time 7:40 AM continuing for approximately 8 hours. Work 30 - 40 hours per week.
Holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, And Christmas Day. Paid 4 hours provided you work the workday before and after the holiday.
Vacation: Five days paid vacation per year following first year of employment (52 Weeks).
Training: Training time is paid.
Medical Insurance: You will be eligible for participation in medical insurance on the first enrollment open date following your first 4 weeks of employment.
Uniforms: Uniforms are required and charged to you at cost. Initially you will be provided 2 shirts, 1 pair of pants or shorts 1 apron and a pair of kneepads. Cost is approximately $50.00 and may be deducted from your paycheck.
Starting Pay: $ 16.50 per hour. Assistant Team Leaders earn $17 per hour. Drivers earn $18.75 per hour. Team Leaders earn $ 19.00 per hour. Promotions are based on dependability and ability.
