About SoHa Brands
SoHa Brands is a growing Hawaii-based retail and lifestyle company with multiple retail locations and expanding e-commerce, wholesale, and product distribution operations.
As our brands and business continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced, hands-on Distribution Center Manager to lead our Honolulu warehouse and distribution operations.
This is a key leadership position for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of results, and knows how to build an organized, efficient, and accountable warehouse team.
We're looking for more than someone who can keep a warehouse running. We want a leader who can improve processes, develop employees, maintain accurate inventory, and help us build a stronger operation as our company continues to expand.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations & Leadership
- Oversee all daily operations of our Honolulu Distribution Center, including receiving, storage, inventory, picking, packing, shipping, and distribution.
- Lead, train, motivate, and hold warehouse supervisors, assistant managers, and team members accountable.
- Establish clear daily priorities, productivity expectations, and performance standards.
- Ensure proper staffing, scheduling, and workload planning across all warehouse functions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and efficient working environment.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement solutions before they affect the business.
- Take ownership of daily execution and ensure warehouse operations run smoothly with minimal oversight.
Inventory Management & Accuracy
- Maintain a high level of inventory accuracy across all warehouse locations and systems.
- Oversee cycle counts, physical inventories, inventory adjustments, and discrepancy investigations.
- Establish strong processes for receiving, putaway, replenishment, stock transfers, and inventory control.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and resolve issues at the root cause rather than relying on repeated adjustments.
- Ensure products are properly labeled, organized, and accurately reflected in our inventory systems.
- Work closely with purchasing, retail, and e-commerce teams to maintain accurate product availability.
- Prevent avoidable out-of-stock issues, inventory losses, and fulfillment delays.
Order Fulfillment & Distribution
- Oversee timely and accurate fulfillment of e-commerce, retail store replenishment, and wholesale orders.
- Ensure customer orders are shipped within established company deadlines.
- Monitor order backlogs, fulfillment accuracy, and shipping performance daily.
- Develop effective procedures for prioritizing orders and managing high-volume periods.
- Coordinate deliveries and inventory transfers to our retail locations.
- Ensure receiving and distribution processes keep merchandise moving efficiently throughout the company.
- Prepare the team for seasonal volume increases, including Black Friday and the holiday shopping season.
Process Improvement & Efficiency
- Evaluate existing warehouse procedures and implement improvements to increase speed, accuracy, and productivity.
- Develop and maintain clear standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all major warehouse functions.
- Establish measurable productivity and performance goals for each department.
- Identify opportunities to improve warehouse layout, storage capacity, picking efficiency, and workflow.
- Use warehouse technology, reporting, and inventory systems to identify problems and improve results.
- Reduce unnecessary labor costs, shipping errors, product damage, and operational inefficiencies.
Team Management & Accountability
- Build a positive, productive, and accountable workplace culture.
- Coach and develop warehouse supervisors and team members.
- Address performance concerns promptly and professionally.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Partner with HR on hiring, onboarding, training, staffing, and employee relations.
- Foster teamwork, professionalism, consistency, and a strong sense of ownership.
Reporting & Communication
- Provide management with regular reporting on warehouse performance, inventory accuracy, productivity, order fulfillment, and staffing.
- Track key performance indicators and take corrective action when targets are not being met.
- Communicate proactively with purchasing, retail operations, e-commerce, and company leadership.
- Identify potential issues early, provide solutions, and follow through until resolved.
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum 5 years of warehouse, distribution center, logistics, or supply chain operations experience.
- Minimum 3 years in a warehouse or distribution management leadership role.
- Proven experience managing teams, supervisors, daily workflows, and performance expectations.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control, receiving, shipping, and fulfillment operations.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory software, and operational reporting.
- Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
- Comfortable working directly on the warehouse floor and leading by example.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and operational performance reporting.
Highly Preferred:
- Experience managing distribution operations for a multi-location retail company.
- Experience overseeing both e-commerce and wholesale fulfillment.
- Familiarity with Shopify and integrated inventory management systems.
- Experience implementing SOPs, productivity tracking, and warehouse process improvements.
- Experience managing seasonal inventory surges and high-volume holiday fulfillment.
- Experience with container receiving, inbound freight coordination, and large-volume merchandise processing.

- Communicates well: Keeps leadership informed, follows through on commitments, and addresses issues promptly.
