We are looking for a skilled dental assistant (either part-time or full-time) to join our dental office. Our team prides itself on maintaining a positive work environment, providing excellent customer service, and cooperating well as a team.
A dental assistant works under the direction of a dentist in a clinical setting to provide high-quality care and service to patients. They work as members of the healthcare team to help patients receive the care they need for dental cleanings, acute conditions, and chronic tooth problems. Any interested candidate will need to be comfortable working with seniors.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare the office to open for the day
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for dental procedures
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Perform dental receptionist duties as needed
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent experience
