The entire inside fo the tube is deeply blackened and crusted from traditional fire seasoning, a process used to preserve the bamboo from boring insects.
The bottom relies on the natural, solid woody membrane of the bamboo node, showing decades of smoothing and edge wear from resting on rustic surfaces
