This Chris Craft 215 Scorpion (Cuddy Cabin) is a great and reliable boat with really low hours for its age. We are the second owner and have had the boat since 1991. It is a great fishing and fun cruising boat. The boat has a single I/O Mercruiser freshwater cooled (rather unique) 4 cylinder (224 CID) 188 HP engine which will propel the boat at a cruising speed of around 20-28 MPH.
The boat has a full pilot enclosure, but it is worn and will need replacement. There is a newer Garman color GPS system with color Depth/fish finder, VHS radio, two batteries with a GUEST switch, power steering, a live well with aerator , Fish box, four trolling pole holders, four vertical pole holders and 4 under the gunwales rod holders. The boat has an approximately eighty gallon fuel tank and sips fuel so have the ability to take longer trips. Unfortunately the fuel tank has a leak and I do not have the skill to replace it.
The boat has recently been updated with a pertronix electronic ignition and hot spark coil. The freshwater cooled engine water pump seals were replaced last fall and an Alternator conversion kit has been installed. The oil has been changed regularly and the Carburetor was recently rebuilt. The anchor locker has been updated with all Stainless steel hardware. The boat has two newer bilge pumps and a porta potti. The boat also has new Richie backlit compass and new mooring cleats all around. The boat was freshly bottom painted and the engine and outdrive were professionally serviced in 2024. I have the full maintenance and service manuals for the boat and electronics. The outdrive is a Mercruiser Alpha one which was just recently serviced and had new seals and a raw water pump installed. The boat has a significantly flared bow which provides for an exceptionally dry ride.
The boat also comes with dual axle 32 roller trailer which has surge brakes and comes with an electric winch, so loading is a snap. Finally The boat has a custom built support cover system to protect the boat from the elements during the winter, while still allowing access. All offers will be considered.
