Food Delivery Driver — Independent Contractor
We are seeking reliable independent contractor drivers to deliver meals using their own vehicles. This is a year-round opportunity with routes assigned daily by regional dispatch.
Responsibilities
- Pick up cooler bags containing customers’ meals at a designated meeting location.
- Deliver meals along your assigned route. Routes and the number of deliveries vary daily.
- Complete the required check-in and check-out process.
- Complete all deliveries by 8:00 p.m. or earlier.
Requirements
- Your own vehicle and a clean motor vehicle driving record.
- Ability to use smartphone applications.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English. Spanish is a plus but is not required.
- Reliability, good judgment, and the ability to follow delivery instructions.
- Previous delivery experience preferred.
Schedule
- Ongoing availability on Sundays and Wednesdays (Mondays/ Tuesday when Volume allows it)
- Service hours may fall between 11:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
- Meal pickup takes place between 9 a.m. and 10 am.
Compensation:
Some routes pay per package ($4-$4.5)
other routes Pay is $0.85 per mile plus $1.50 per client, with a minimum payment of $90 per route. Routes that exceed the minimum are paid according to mileage and clients served.
For example, a 100-mile route serving 20 clients pays:
(100 × $0.85) + (20 × $1.50) = $115
