Job Summary
EVENTLUXE is hiring a full-time, hardworking Carpenter Assistant who values grit, precision, and physical labor over glamor. While our finished products are displayed at high-end brand activations and corporate venues, the day-to-day work happens in a fast-paced fabrication shop and demanding load-in zones. We are looking for a reliable, resilient individual who is ready to hustle, handle heavy materials, and learn the trade from the ground up. If you are a grounded, reliable worker who shows up on time and puts pride into a hard day’s work, we have a long-term spot for you on our build team.
Key Responsibilities
Heavy Material Handling: Load, unload, and safely move heavy lumber, custom build-outs, and staging materials in the shop and at job sites.
Site Installation & Loading: Work on your feet for long shifts loading trucks, moving equipment, and mechanically assembling structures, furniture on-site under tight deadlines.
Dismantle & Strike: Carefully break down structures post-project, ensuring all components are disassembled correctly without damage, organized, and packed safely back into the trucks.
Tool & Hardware Management: Proficiently operate hand and power tools (drills, impact drivers, levels, wrenches) to assemble modular structures and custom fabrications safely.
Responsible Product Handling: Handle custom fabric, high-end laminates, graphics, and tech elements with a "white-glove" mentality to avoid scratches, dents, or tears.
On-Site Problem Solving: Use your skills to make quick, clean modifications or fixes on-site if a venue floor is uneven or a piece needs minor adjusting.
Shop Support: Assist lead carpenters with measuring, cutting, sanding, and assembling structures using power tools, drills, and saws.
Organization & Maintenance: Maintain a clean, safe shop environment by sweeping, organizing materials, and properly maintaining tools.
Qualifications & Requirements
Work Ethic: A serious, dependable attitude with a track record of thriving in physically demanding environments (assembly, moving, or logistics).
Schedule Flexibility: This is not a 9-to-5 job; you must be willing to work fluctuating hours, including early mornings or late-night finishes based on production timelines.
Logistics & Driving: Valid driver’s license with experience driving 24ft to 26ft box trucks is highly preferred. Clean driving record required.
Travel & Overnight Flexibility: Must be willing and able to work overnight production shifts (when venue build windows dictate) and travel out of town/overnight if a project requires it.
Skill Set: Exceptional proficiency with basic hand/power tools and hardware. Ability to follow assembly diagrams, structural instructions, or layouts accurately.
Accountability: A strong sense of ownership. If you see something unaligned, damaged, or unsafe, you fix it or report it immediately—you do not leave it for the next person.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, lift, bend, and move heavy structures (50–75 lbs) continuously during long load-in and load-out shifts.
What We Offer
Competitive hourly pay with straightforward, project-by-project booking.
Paid travel expenses and accommodations for any out-of-town project requirements.
A no-nonsense team environment where hard work and reliability are recognized and rewarded.
Work Location: In person
