Craftsman Inc. produced hand-hammered and metalwork copper and bronze decorative art pieces (such as trays, bowls, and bookends) primarily during the 1930s and Arts and Crafts movement era.
Manufactured during the 1930s Arts & Crafts movement era in California, it features a distinctively robust style that is highly collectible: Hand-hammered solid copper, featuring an all-over dimpled texture and wide, ergonomically shaped handles secured by thick, heavy copper rivets. The top of the tray shows minor staining and variations in color from past usage, while the underside retains a deeper, rich chocolate-brown original fire-patina alongside the stamped anvil maker's mark. The darker, aged look on the underside is part of the metal's history and heavily preferred by collectors.
