A food processing company located in Hauppauge is looking for a person to work in its food production room. The position involves the unpacking of raw materials, the placement of chicken on processing tables, the collection and boxing of cut chicken, the loading of chicken into processing machines, the unloading of processing machines, and the retrieval and storage of work in progress. The production area is refrigerated, so the right person must be comfortable with working in a cold climate. The environment is wet, so boots and protective clothing will be needed. The company will provide most of what is necessary for the job. Heavy lifting is required by this job, as lugs of chicken weigh 50 lbs. or more. This is a full-time, year-round position, and the hours are 4:00 AM to 1:30PM, Monday through Friday. Overtime is available. Ability to speak English and Spanish is a big plus. The starting pay is $18.50/hour.
