Café Deux is seeking a polished, personable, and hospitality-driven Bartender to join our team. We are an upscale-casual café, restaurant, and bar located in Westchester County, NY that takes pride in thoughtful food and beverage offerings, warm hospitality, and creating a welcoming experience for every guest.
We are looking for someone who understands that great service is about more than taking orders. The ideal candidate is attentive, professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely enjoys connecting with guests. They should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining the quality of service and attention to detail that define the Café Deux experience.
We are hiring for both full-time and part-time positions. Availability for weekends, mornings, and evenings is essential, as our service spans brunch, coffee, lunch, and dinner.
Responsibilities include:
-Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer, coffee beverages, and other drinks to Café Deux standards.
-Provide attentive, personable, and professional service while creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
-Develop a strong knowledge of our food and beverage menus, ingredients, and preparation methods to confidently answer questions and make thoughtful recommendations.
-Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked bar and workstation throughout service.
-Execute opening, closing, and side-work responsibilities thoroughly and consistently.
-Process orders and payments accurately using our POS system.
-Communicate effectively with the kitchen, baristas, servers, and management to ensure seamless service.
-Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and responsible alcohol service.
-Contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment and uphold Café Deux's service standards.
Qualifications:
-Previous bartending experience is preferred.
-Serving experience and/or barista and coffee experience are a strong plus.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a natural ability to make guests feel welcome.
-A polished, professional demeanor and a genuine passion for hospitality.
-Strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to multitask under pressure.
-Dependability, punctuality, and a strong sense of accountability.
-Willingness to learn menus, recipes, and service procedures thoroughly.
-Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the rest of the team.
-Flexible availability, including weekends, mornings, and evenings.
-Must meet applicable legal requirements for serving alcohol.
