All bees are raised in Amish area with Organic farms, no chemicals ever! I do not graft larva, I focus on allowing the bees to raise the best queens under swarming conditions. I run a deep and a medium configuration, when they become crowded and start swarm cells, I remove the queen and one frame of bees to a nuc. When the swarm cells are sealed I cage them all, and return the queen to the bottom box of the hive and remove all the frames with cells to above a queen excluder. Upon emergence, I cage all the virgin Queens and bank them for five days. When they are mature, I release them into the mating nucs, for which I use a medium above a queen excluder and a closable entrance. This strong hive nurtures the new queens very well, they orient to the side entrance and most of the new queens make it home after mating. Once the laying pattern can be assessed I make the queens available for sale, replace the old queen, or start a split with the medium. Any Queen I sell comes directly out of her hive, I don't bank Mated Queens, only virgins. Your queen will be fresh and in full lay, I like to personally deliver them the day I cage them so they will go into your hive as fresh as possible. I recomend they are introduced under a cage so they can continue laying and they will be better accepted by your bees, even if you have a laying worker or other situation going on.

Best way to requeen a mean or large hive, just release her into the supers, supply an upper entrance, and once her first brood is sealed remove the excluder to above her and she will replace your old or mean queen naturally.
