We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented custodian to keep our church clean, safe, and welcoming. This position supports worship services, church activities, and daily operations by maintaining the building and preparing spaces for use.
Responsibilities
-Clean and sanitize restrooms, classrooms, offices, fellowship areas, and worship spaces.
-Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors.
-Empty trash and recycling containers and replenish restroom supplies.
-Dust furniture, clean windows, and wipe down frequently touched surfaces.
-Set up and take down tables, chairs, and equipment for services, meetings, and events.
-Monitor cleaning supplies and notify the supervisor when items need replenishment.
-Report maintenance needs, damage, and safety concerns promptly.
-Secure doors and turn off lights as assigned.
-Follow safe procedures for cleaning products and equipment.
-Treat church members, staff, and visitors with courtesy and respect.
Qualifications and Requirements
-Must have a clean background and successfully pass a background check before employment.
-Dependable, punctual, trustworthy, and able to work independently.
-Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
-Ability to respect confidentiality and follow church safety and security policies.
-Ability to perform essential duties, including standing, bending, reaching, and moving cleaning supplies, tables, and chairs, with or without reasonable accommodation.
