đȘ ABOUT THE ROLE
The Controller is a key member of HLHâs administrative leadership team and our senior accounting and financial leader. Working closely with the CEO, Chief of Staff, department managers, external accounting vendor, auditors, and Board, youâll provide financial leadership and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Finance Department.
Youâll be responsible for:
*Financial reporting, month-end/year-end close, general ledger, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial analysis
*Cash management, banking, accounts receivable/payable, payroll accounting, and payment processes
*Annual operating and capital budgets, cash-flow forecasting, budget-to-actual analysis, and financial projections
*Grant and contract accounting and reporting, including compliance with 2 CFR Part 200
*Financial oversight of healthcare revenue, accounts receivable, collections, reimbursement, and related financial activity
*HRSA, UDS, and other applicable FQHC financial reporting and compliance requirements
*Coordination of the annual financial statement audit, Single Audit, IRS Form 990, and other required regulatory filings
*Maintaining and strengthening financial policies, procedures, internal controls, and safeguards against error, fraud, and misuse
*Providing clear, actionable financial information and guidance to leadership and the Board to support sound organizational decisions
*Identifying opportunities to improve financial systems, processes, efficiency, and organizational performance

Salary: $125,000â$135,000+ DOE

â WE'RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO IS:
*An experienced accounting/finance professional with strong knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations, closing processes, budgeting, and internal controls
*Analytical, detail-oriented, organized, and financially savvy
*A problem-solver who looks beyond the numbers to identify risks, opportunities, and better ways of doing things
*Comfortable translating financial information into clear, actionable information for non-financial leaders
*Able to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and competing demands with accuracy and professionalism
*Experienced with computerized accounting systems and electronic spreadsheets
*Committed to confidentiality, integrity, accountability, and sound financial stewardship
Preferred: Bachelorâs degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related fieldâor equivalent education and experience; 3+ years of progressively responsible accounting or finance experience; nonprofit, healthcare, FQHC, grant-funded, audit, or outsourced accounting experience highly desirable. Knowledge of 2 CFR Part 200 and HRSA Health Center Program requirements is a plus.
