This old bike has been restored to a high level. These bikes are highly collectible, and this one is about as nice as you’ll find on eBay, Marketplace, or the collector forums. I bought it restored over 20 years ago, and the only thing I’ve done to it is replaced the seat with the original yellow seat that were on these. The person who restored it had a silver Schwinn seat on it, but that was incorrect for the year and model so I obtained and installed the correct yellow one. I also replaced the cables with yellow matching ones, which I think look pretty nice. The chrome is very nice overall with a tiny bit of minor pitting, which is almost undetectable. The paint is, I would say, is excellent, and is a perfect match for the year. One of the decals is partially rubbed off, as seen in the pictures. I used to buy and fix and restore these bikes 25 years ago, and this is the only one I’ve hung on to. It’s exactly like the one that was stolen out from under me by some young thugs in North Minneapolis when I had one in the 70’s. I never recovered that one, and when I was in my 30’s I started collecting these Schwinns. You won’t find one this nice for less money, so please no dumb questions like “what’s the least you’ll take?” or “do you still have it?” My price is firm, thanks. if you get this bike you will own a nice piece of Schwinn history of a bygone era.
