DRUMMER WANTED — GREENSBORO/TRIAD, NC
I’m a 26-year-old bassist, baritone vocalist and frontman assembling an original theatrical rock band.
The sound combines Duran Duran’s hooks and danceable rhythms, Alice Cooper/KISS-style showmanship, Ghost’s dark atmosphere, Megadeth-inspired aggression, Prince’s funk and Billy Joel’s songwriting.
The goal is dark, catchy arena rock that can move naturally from a dance groove into controlled metal aggression.
Think music you can dance to while the building explodes.
WHO I’M LOOKING FOR
A versatile drummer who can combine groove with genuine rock and metal power.
You should be capable of:
• Strong new-wave, funk and dance-rock grooves
• Powerful hard-rock playing
• Faster metal sections when needed
• Clean double-kick used with restraint (optional)
• Controlled dynamics underneath vocals
• Memorable fills that don’t disrupt the song
• Locking tightly with an active, melodic bassist
• Learning and consistently performing complete arrangements
You should be a strong intermediate-to-advanced drummer. Extreme speed or a massive kit isn’t required, but dependable timing, musical judgment and the ability to make people move absolutely are.
Backing vocals, electronic-percussion experience and home-recording ability are major bonuses.
WHAT I’M BUILDING
This is not intended as a casual jam, cover band or occasional hobby project. The long-term goal is professional-quality original releases, music videos, theatrical shows and regional/national touring.
I’m primarily looking for someone roughly 19–30 who can rehearse consistently around Greensboro, has reliable transportation/access to equipment and will practice outside rehearsals.
You should also be comfortable participating in the band’s visual side—photography, videos, coordinated outfits and theatrical performances.
If the band begins generating revenue, the rough plan is to reinvest approximately 10% into band development and divide the remaining 90% evenly among the core members. The final structure would be agreed upon together.
Taste, personality, chemistry and reliability matter as much as technique. I’m interested in talking, hearing you play and seeing whether we naturally work well together.
