The Tech Academy’s Software Developer Boot Camp is an extensive online training program for people who want to learn software development and prepare for opportunities in the technology industry. The program accommodates beginners and does not require students to have a background in programming, computer science, or other technical fields.
Students start with the fundamentals of computers, programming, and software development before moving into more advanced topics and full-stack development. Coursework introduces students to technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, C#, .NET, SQL, databases, Git, GitHub, and additional tools and concepts used in modern development.
The training goes beyond technical lessons by incorporating practical projects and career-focused preparation. Students complete coding exercises, participate in a two-week Live Project, create a portfolio to demonstrate their work, and take two courses focused on artificial intelligence. The program also includes a Job Placement Course intended to help students prepare for the process of seeking employment.
Students have access to instructor guidance during their training and can also work with experienced job placement specialists. Career assistance covers areas such as creating and improving a resume, preparing for interviews, developing professional skills, and learning strategies for pursuing software development and other technology-related positions.
Training includes:
1. Online coursework with a flexible, self-paced format
2. Foundational instruction for students entering technology from the beginning
3. Extensive training in software and full-stack development
4. Skills covering websites, application development, server-side programming, and databases
5. Practical development experience through a hands-on Live Project
6. Dedicated coursework covering artificial intelligence and current AI technologies
7. Career development and assistance with the technology job search
The program is intended to give students a broad understanding of the skills and technologies involved in software development. Along with programming and web development, students study back-end technologies, databases, version control, artificial intelligence, and practical software projects. The online format provides an opportunity to complete the coursework while working around personal or professional commitments.
