EXPERIENCED HANDYMAN / MOBILE HOME RENOVATION
Must be an experienced, professional, dependable, and motivated independent contractor/handyman to assist with the renovation, repair, and preparation of mobile home units for rental and/or sale.
We have multiple units and ongoing improvement projects and are looking for the right individual who wants a steady workflow for the months ahead. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their craftsmanship, works efficiently, communicates professionally, and enjoys seeing a project through from start to finish.
SCOPE OF WORK MAY INCLUDE:
• Mobile home unit renovations and rental turnovers
• Interior and exterior repairs
• Drywall repair, patching, texturing, and painting
• Flooring installation and repair
• Doors, locks, trim, baseboards, and finish carpentry
• Cabinet and countertop repairs or installation
• Minor plumbing repairs and fixture replacement
• Minor electrical repairs within the worker’s lawful qualifications
• Bathroom and kitchen repairs and improvements
• Appliance installation and replacement
• Window and screen repairs
• Deck, stair, railing, and exterior repairs
• General property maintenance
• Cleanup and debris removal associated with projects
• Preparing units to be clean, functional, attractive, and ready for rental or sale
• Identifying additional repairs or maintenance issues that should be brought to management’s attention
WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO:
• Has Experience – Prior handyman, residential renovation, mobile home, apartment turnover, construction, or property maintenance experience is strongly preferred.
• Takes Pride in Their Work – We want someone who cares about the finished product and does not believe in cutting corners.
• Is Dependable – Shows up when promised, communicates clearly, and follows through on assigned projects.
• Works Efficiently – Understands the importance of completing vacant units promptly so they can be placed back into productive use.
• Is Professional – Able to work appropriately around residents, management, contractors, vendors, and prospective tenants or buyers.
• Can Work Independently – Able to receive a scope of work, organize the project, identify needed materials, and move the job toward completion without constant supervision.
• Communicates Problems Early – If an unexpected condition, additional repair, or material requirement is discovered, management should be informed promptly.
STEADY WORK OPPORTUNITY:
This is not intended to be just a one-time repair job. We anticipate a steady pipeline of mobile home renovation, turnover, repair, and property improvement projects for the months ahead. We are interested in developing an ongoing working relationship with the right person based on performance, reliability, quality of workmanship, and availability.
COMPENSATION:
Open and negotiable based upon experience, skill level, qualifications, project requirements, and agreed scope of work. Applicants with their own tools, reliable transportation, and broad residential repair experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
